“Randy is just the person to help take ONE World Sports to the next level in the network’s expanded U.S. distribution among MVPDs seeking to leverage the burgeoning interest in global sports, especially among the hard-to-reach millennials,” said CEO Brown. “He is one of the most respected TV distribution executives in the industry, and we couldn’t be more delighted to welcome him to the executive roster of our global sports network.”

At Outdoor Channel, which he joined in 2007, Brown grew the network’s domestic subscribers by 12.3 million subs while launching branded networks in Europe and Asia. He previously spent six years as head of distribution at the Tennis Channel, where he launched the network into 18 million homes. He also spent 14 years in affiliate sales at ESPN.

In his new role, Brown will supervise all distribution operations at ONE World Sports.

He is charged with expanding distribution of the network via linear channels and all digital platforms.

The appointment takes effect immediately.

“ONE World Sports taps into what competitive MVPDs highly desire—exclusive sports programming that appeals to younger, globally minded viewers,” Randy Brown adds. “I’m thrilled to hit the ground running and be part of the ONE World Sports team.”

Brown received a BA from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. He lives with his wife in Los Angeles.
