Brevity Adds Tyrell as Authorized Reseller in UK, Ireland

Brevity, the software company that brought to market the first simultaneous transport and transcoding solution and super-accelerated file delivery, announced today that Tyrell, a leading provider of broadcast and production technology solutions and services, is now an authorized reseller of Brevity technology in the U.K. and Ireland. The collaboration builds on the successful adoption of Brevity technology by leading broadcast, production, and postproduction customers in North America, and will bring the same savings in bandwidth, time, and budget to international customers.

Brevity Logo 2012Brevity combines super-accelerated file transfer and transcoding into a single process to deliver digital video files in any format, to multiple destinations in a single and seamless step. Its patented pipelined multi-point transport protocol allows customers to send files to multiple locations without slowing down the transmission, while also transcoding simultaneously to multiple formats at each destination. Because the solution eliminates the time spent separately transcoding files, Brevity delivers increased efficiency in video workflows for unmatched return on investment.

“We recognize the skills and experience Tyrell brings as a partner,” says Owen Plant, Brevity’s Chief Operating Officer. “As we continue to expand our offering and develop business in key markets, such as the U.K., our technology has the ability to radically change content delivery costs and resources around the globe. We’re excited to partner with Tyrell to now deliver those benefits to the U.K. and Ireland.”

“We are always looking for core technologies and solutions that deliver tangible benefits for our customers’ business,” says Martin Bennet, Commerical Director at Tyrell Group. “With Brevity we have such a solution, and with its low cost of entry and simplicity of set up, it will be viable for many different markets.”
