Sports Broadcasters Leverage AJT Systems Tech for Real-Time Score Bugs, Tickers

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome AJT Systems as a corporate sponsor. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, AJT Systems develops systems for live-to-air graphics rendering and video servers based on its Camino real-time renderer. The company’s products are in use 24/7/365 with domestic and international broadcasters, delivering compelling, high-quality full-motion graphics.

“AJT Systems is looking to network with our colleagues in sports production and participate in SVG events,” says President Ron Linares. “Within the sports industry, we are looking to build brand awareness of our products and broaden our customer base, both domestically and internationally.”

AJT Systems’ technology and equipment are deployed by such broadcasters as ESPN, CBS, NBATV, and others to produce score bugs and tickers.

The company’s offerings include the Camino real-time renderer and turnkey Camino-based graphics systems in multiple form factors available for purchase or for lease on a per-event basis. Customized hardware configurations, mission-critical system support, and in-house creative services enable the company to offer solutions based on specific client needs.

AJT Systems’ latest product, the LiveBook GFX, is a fully integrated, portable, turnkey HD score-bug system. It features a sport-specific score-bug application, the feature-rich Camino template editor, and a workflow to create and output high-quality, dynamic content for score bugs, clock, and player statistics. Weighing 12 lbs., the compact system is intended for remote productions and space-constrained production environments. Versions for basketball, soccer, curling, and bowling are available, with additional applications to be released in the near future.

In the first quarter, AJT Systems is expected to announce a major release of its SportApp suite, which includes ready-to-air score-bug applications and user-customizable templates. The company plans to exhibit the second-generation LiveBook GFX at NAB2014 in April.
