Story Highlights
ChyronHego has launched of HeliPaint, an in-the-air news telestration system designed to meet the specific needs of aerial coverage. HeliPaint brings ChyronHego’s acclaimed Paint telestration and tracking technology to the chopper in a rugged, compact 1RU chassis.
The system equips helicopter-borne reporters with customizable, easy-to-use tools for enhancing news and breaking news coverage. Powered by ChyronHego’s real-time image-tracking engine, HeliPaint locks graphics in place even as the camera moves and telestration can be performed over a live stream or still freezes.
“HeliPaint packs a small footprint and is designed to withstand the many rigors of flight with ease,” said ChyronHego Product Manager, Mark Bowden. “In addition to its lightweight, rugged chassis, HeliPaint features a streamlined interface with large icons that make tool selection quick and simple, a high-visibility LCD touch screen that can be seen in the brightest sunlight, and mobile processing that allows the system to consume minimal power from a 12V source with no AC required.”
