Sports Illustrated has revamped its digital sites. Sports Illustrated on Tuesday will introduce a reconstructed website for both desktop and mobile platforms, the latest and perhaps most dramatic step in a digitally focused transformation of the sports media brand. The tile-based system, nearly a year in development, expands on design concepts that debuted last year with the launch of Peter King’s TheMMQB.com and continued with other new SI products such as SI Edge and Planet Futbol. The new format allows for substantial flexibility based on news events and editorial direction, and will freely incorporate text, photos, video and audio through a completely rebuilt content management system. …NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 101st Tour de France begins with the Tour de France Preview Show tonight at 9 P.M. ET. hosted by Todd Harris. The show will take an in-depth look at the Tour de France, the World’s most prestigious cycling event, including interviews with past Tour de France winners Chris Froome (2013), Bradley Wiggins (2012), Andy Schleck (2010), and Alberto Contador (2007, 2009), race route, profiles of competing cyclists, and historical moments. NBC Sports Group is the exclusive rights holder of Tour de France coverage in the U.S. and will provide television coverage on NBC and NBCSN. …In a move to boast its summer film slate, MSG Network will begin to air ESPN’S “30 for 30” documentary film franchise. MSG network has reached a licensing agreement with ESPN Films for a number of its documentary titles. The deal encompasses films under the award-winning “30 for 30: franchise, and is part of a larger multi-year licensing deal with ESPN that will grant the regional sports network access to series and documentaries form the global sports network. The first documentary aired on MSG from the “30 for 30” series debuted Saturday, June 22nd in No MAS, the inside look at two boxing matches between Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran. After a two-week hiatus, MSG will begin airing the other “30 for 30” films on July 13 through the end of August…

…YES Network premiered its latest installment in its Emmy Award-Winning Yankeeography series featuring moments of glory special featuring Ron Guidry’s 18-strikeout performance against the California Angels at Yankee Stadium on June 17, 1978. Guidry won the American League Cy Young Award in 1978, in his only second full season in the majors, after finishing with a 25-3 record, a 1.74 ERA, and 248 strikeouts. He also played a huge role as the Yankees marched to their second straight World Series Championship.
