Video: NBC Olympics’ Darryl Jefferson Discusses Telestream’s Role at Sochi Games

Back in February at the Sochi Olympic Games, NBC Olympics completed one of the largest undertakings in the history of sports production, delivering more than 1,500 hours of programming across a plethora of Peacock platforms. Telestream products, including Vantage, played a vital role in the production, providing everything from file-based standards conversion to transcoding to workflow orchestration throughout the Sochi Games.
NBC Olympics VP of Digital Workflow Darryl Jefferson oversaw the operation, which included 77,000 hours of recorded content, was spread across six different cities, and involved thousands of staffers. Jefferson sat down to discuss the role Telestream and Vantage played in NBC Olympics’ overwhelming success in Sochi.
