Level 3 Communications announced the addition of HP Helion Managed Cloud Service to the Level 3 Cloud Connect Solutions ecosystem. Enterprises and government agencies will be able to establish secure, high-performance, efficient connections to HP Helion Managed Cloud Service using Level 3’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) and security services in North America, Latin America and Europe.
This alliance provides Level 3 and HP customers worldwide with a reliable and flexible path to migrate and manage mission-critical applications and data in the cloud.
To address common concerns among enterprises related to cloud and data center migration, including security, performance and control, Level 3 has collaborated with HP and other cloud service providers to offer comprehensive cloud networking. The solution enables customers to be more agile by providing rapid service provisioning, dynamic bandwidth and usage-based billing for them to focus on developing and delivering core business applications in the cloud.

Private network access coupled with managed network security services via the global Level 3 network to HP dual-active cloud sites establishes load balancing and redundant failover, which deliver 99.999 percent uptime – addressing enterprises’ primary concerns about data security, business continuity and reliability in the cloud. Level 3 Cloud Connect Solutions also delivers direct connections to HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud for Public Sector. HP Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud for Public Sector follows applicable regulatory standards such as FedRAMP and FISMA, which provide customers with reassurances about the security and compliance of their overall cloud strategy.
