TNDV Expands Mobile-Production Fleet With Elevation

Nashville-based mobile-production company TNDV has added a sixth truck to its fleet. Elevation, which entered service in September, has already been used for several productions, including the 2014 Re/Max Long Drive Challenge golf tournament in Nevada on Golf Channel.

The 40-ft. Elevation is outfitted similarly to TNDV’s other trucks, such as flagship Aspiration. Video equipment includes a Ross Vision 3 switcher, an Imagine Communications Platinum integrated router, and Aja Ki Pro recorders, along with multiple Hitachi SK-HD1000 cameras for multistandard, multiformat field production. The audio infrastructure has a redundant Avid Pro Tools system, JoeCo MADI recorders, and an 80-port RTS ADAM intercom system; the mix console is a 96-input Soundcraft VI-3000.

Elevation is differentiated by energy efficiency, including an on-board 25-kW generator to power air-conditioners and the entire production infrastructure, enabling it to work on isolated remote shoots by eliminating the costs and logistics of finding power in secluded locations.

“Elevation becomes self-powered with the flip of an onboard switch, eliminating the costs of expensive generator rentals,” says Nic Dugger, owner/president of TNDV, which also produces local editions of Friday Night Rivals, a series of weekly high school football games shot live in HD and carried on Fox Sports Southwest, and the 2014 Billiards International Challenge of Champions for ESPN. “This helps us reduce costs for our clients and is especially helpful for tight production budgets.”
