CCW 2014: PROMISE Technology To Showcase Storage Solutions

PROMISE Technology will showcase its storage solutions for the media and entertainment market, including VTrak A-Class systems with the new VTrak G1100 NAS Gateway, at Content and Communications World (CCW) from November 12-13 in New York City.

Promise_TechnologyVTrak A-Class is a shared SAN storage appliance for rich media workflows that increasingly addresses the need for video editing and content distribution, bringing resounding broadcast success to the world’s most creative organizations — from large media corporations to houses of worship.

VTrak A-Class allows for both video creation and streaming live media for broadcasting, enabling scalability for more end users to be reached through video and multimedia. VTrak A-Class is a total solution that also allows for digital asset management, enabling users to access different tiers of storage. Now with the VTrak G1100 NAS Gateway available worldwide, clients can access VTrak A3800 via 10Gb Ethernet, opening the door to many new collaborative possibilities and workflows. This theme is echoed by PROMISE at CCW through its Pegasus2 M4 SSD, which is portable storage that can be used in remote shoots for the fastest camera ingest with Thunderbolt™ 2 at over 1300MB/s.

With VTrak A-Class, customers can directly connect to the network with any of the three models of PROMISE’s SANLink2 Thunderbolt 2 bridge adapters showcased at CCW. In addition to SANLink2 8G FC, which offers the fastest onsite performance for users who need to directly connect Mac Pro and Pegasus to VTrak systems, PROMISE offers SANLink2 10GBase-T to connect devices to the local network to access shared media. Further, PROMISE’s SANLink2 10G SFP+ connects devices to the network via optical for remote branches and offices at greater distances.

The lightning-fast performance of PROMISE’s Thunderbolt 2 solutions in the media and entertainment space can also be applicable to all rich media IT workflows, such as marketing or advertising departments, engineering departments, automotive industries, and many more. Plus, Pegasus2, SANLink2 10GBase-T and SANLink2 10G SFP+ are all Windows compatible.

“Content and Communications World is an excellent platform for PROMISE to showcase our innovative end-to-end workflow solutions that can ingest, edit and distribute content,” said James Lee, CEO, PROMISE Technology. “With video continuing to play an increasingly important role in our lives, we will continue to develop key technologies for content creation and delivery. Content delivery is especially important, as users need to be able to quickly and reliably deliver media and ensure that it can be accessed anywhere and at any time.”
