The early hint of winter may be just arriving, but David Neal is already set for a busy summer. The Fox Sports executive producer will oversee the network’s first-ever U.S. Open golf and FIFA Women’s World Cup productions in June, with the two events beginning just 10 days apart. And it won’t get any easier from there as Fox gears up for its first FIFA World Cup, in 2018 in Russia. At LiveTV:LA (co-produced by SVG and TVNewsCheck in association with Variety) in Hollywood last week, the Fox Sports big-live-event guru provided a sneak peek into what viewers can expect from two of next year’s highest-profile sports events.
