Inventor of TV instant replay dies

SportingNews.com reports that the man who forever changed the way people watch live sporting events has died.

Tony Verna, 81, a television director and producer who invented instant replay for live sports 51 years ago, passed away Sunday at his Palm Desert, Calif., home after battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, The Associated Press reported.
