KTLA Turns To Linear Acoustic For Audio Needs at Tournament of the Roses Parade
KTLA utilized the Linear Acoustic AERO.2000 for upmixing, dialnorm compliance, and Dolby encoding of the 2015 Tournament of the Roses Parade. The unit’s flexibility of the AEROMAX loudness and dynamic range control provided outstanding audio processing during the event.
With the support of Linear Acoustic, KTLA was able to achieve maximum success with one of their most important broadcasts of the year, which was distributed to over 100 countries.
The AERO.2000 includes AEROMAX loudness control with patented Linear Acoustic Intelligent Dynamics hybrid metadata processing for proven loudness control, industry-standard upmixing via UPMAX II with full time downmix, optional Dolby encoding/decoding and Nielsen Watermarking, and extensive I/O features.
KTLA has used Linear Acoustic upmixers continually for close to a decade.
Chris Shaw, Global Sales Manager for Linear Acoustic, stated: “It is always gratifying when a long term customer requests Linear Acoustic equipment for an important, prestigious project.” Shaw continued, “It is a sign of the quality and confidence that end-users have built up in the product line.”
