Auburn Continues Partnership with Daktronics for Softball Video Display

Tiger fans have another reason to roar as Daktronics continues a long-time partnership with Auburn University for the manufacture and installation of a new video display and sound system at Jane B. Moore Field on campus in Auburn, Alabama. The display was installed in January and is located in left field to enhance the fan experience at Tiger’s women’s softball games.
Daktronics“We are thrilled with the opportunity to enhance our softball experience for our student-athletes and fans with a new Daktronics video board and sound system,” says Jeff Steele, associate athletic director, Auburn University. “We are pleased to continue our Daktronics partnership with a high quality state of the art full video program that provides increased opportunity to showcase Auburn Softball.”

The display will feature a 15HD pixel layout and measure approximately 23 feet high by 29 feet wide. It features versatile content zoning which allows it to show one large image across the entire display face to highlight live video and instant replays. It can also be separated into multiple windows to show a variety of statistics, graphics and animations, sponsor messages, and other game information. The display also provides environmental protection and incorporates excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility.

A new Sportsound 500 audio system will be included as part of the overall project. It will be integrated with the video and scoring system to provide a powerful audio experience for fans including full-range sound reproduction and clear and intelligible speech.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with Auburn University by upgrading their video display and sound system at Jane B. Moore Field,” says Glen Marts, Daktronics sales representative. “They’ve chosen to go full video, replacing the fixed digit scoreboard and message center that Daktronics installed in 2008. This upgrade, including the new audio system, will certainly enhance the game-day experience for players and fans alike.”
