UC Berkeley’s North Gate Studios Connects to The Switch – San Francisco

North Gate Studios at the University of California at Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism recently added an HD-SDI connection to The Switch San Francisco. With this new connection, North Gate Studios is available to support standard and high definition live shot and play out requirements.
TheSwitchNorth Gate Studios is located on the North side of the UC Berkeley campus at Room 100 North Gate Hall at the intersection of Hearst and Euclid.  North Gate Studios, which is the only production facility with direct Switch connectivity in the East Bay, is available to support interviews with UC Berkeley academic talent as well for outside guests.

For working reporters, the Berkeley campus is a prime source for nationally renowned experts. Its academic departments consistently rank among the top five in the country. The faculty, renowned for both teaching and scholarship, include eight Nobel Laureates and 19 MacArthur Fellows.
Berkeley’s Office of Media Relations is the key link to providing journalists with prompt and expert help locating campus scholars who can be interviewed.
The office can recommend the right expert for the topic — from engineering to anthropology, from public health to economics.
The Media Relations team can also connect news organizations with UC Berkeley’s broadcast facilities to arrange television or radio interviews from campus.
