Large Daktronics Presence For College Basketball Madness

As college basketball teams and fans around the country prepare for the biggest tournament of the year, Daktronics is preparing to provide event support to three venues hosting men’s basketball games while 12 of 14 host venues will use Daktronics equipment for the men’s tournament which starts on March 17. Daktronics technical experts will be on site at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, where the last four teams standing will compete on April 4 and the final two fight for the championship on April 6.
“We’re as excited for the basketball tournament as any other college sports fan,” says Jay Parker, VP OF Live Events. “Knowing that our products and services have helped these venues give their fans the greatest experience possible gives us great pride in what we do every day. We look forward to the tournament tipping off as it showcases our technology from the first game through the championship game.”

From a services aspect, Daktronics will have a team of technical experts providing event support on site at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky; NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas; and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Illinois. These technical experts will be providing pre-event checks, on-going event support and overall technical assistance for every game played at these locations.

“Our team has been working with these three sites to prepare for the tournament over the past few weeks so that our customers are ready to go at game time,” says Sarah Rose, VP of Services, Daktronics. “The national attention to all of these games isn’t something that is new to our group as we continue to provide event support for the largest events in sports whether it be at the collegiate level or professional level.”

From March 17 through April 6, 58 total games will be held at the following venues with Daktronics equipment:

Key Arena
