Case Study: Green Bay Packers Select VITEC’s IPTV Streaming Video Solution at Lambeau Field
Home to the Green Bay Packers and located in Green Bay, WI, Lambeau Field is the most revered of stadiums in the National Football League. Lambeau Field seats over 80,000 loyal fans and is the home of some of the greatest moments in NFL history.
The ongoing expansion of Lambeau Field and the Atrium needed a reliable and cost-effective system upgrade capable of delivering video over IP networks to 600 large LCD TVs around the main stadium concourse, clubs, suites and other high-use public areas, with low delay.
The Green Bay Packers chose VITEC’s solution based on the EZ TV Pro IPTV platform because they found the flexibility of the system met and exceeded all their needs, and also its modularity and scalability enabled a staged system deployment which was very cost effective for Lambeau Field. VITEC’s customizable solution provided the stadium’s AV group the ability, freedom and support to adapt the open-architecture IPTV and Signage system to their specific workflows.
“VITEC has proved to be superior in video quality, with an emphasis in ultra-low latency, for our live stadium events,” says Wayne Wichlacz, Director of Information Technology, Lambeau Field. “The flexibility of their open-architecture has given us the ability to adapt to our specific needs.”
