YES Network Wins 12 New York Emmy Awards

The YES Network won 12 New York Emmy Awards at the 58th annual New York Emmy Awards dinner Saturday, including three for its coverage of Derek Jeter’s final season with the New York Yankees, giving the network 92 Emmys since its 2002 launch.  The 12 wins, encompassing all major categories, are second only to the 13 YES won in 2014 and in 2009.
In addition to the three wins for its Jeter offerings, YES also received one Emmy each for best play-by-play (Michael Kay – Yankees) and best analyst (Mike Fratello – Brooklyn Nets), a best director Emmy (John Moore – Yankees), a pair of features Emmys, two on-air promotion wins, and one win each for on-air graphics and audio.

“These 12 Emmys span all the key categories and speak volumes to the talent, dedication and passion exhibited by the YES Network staff,” says John J. Filippelli, President, Production and Programming, YES Network. “Sports is the original ‘reality programming,’ and YES is at its best capturing this live theatre. We are both grateful and truly humbled by the recognition bestowed upon us by our peers.”
