Forget 4K! YouTube now has 8K video…shame it's rubbish

At least DailyStar.co.uk gets it as they state: “AMAZING footage appears on YouTube but no one can watch it.”

Most people haven’t switched over to 4K yet, but that’s not stopped the world’s first 8K footage appearing on YouTube.

The mini movie, Ghost Towns, went live on the site earlier this week with the makers stating ‘4K is so “early 2015”. Ghost Towns in 8K.’

With stunning footage shot on state-of-the-art cameras it all sounds good – problem is no one can watch it.

Firstly, you’ll need a decent 84-inch 4K TV that displays 33 million pixels.

These TVs are the only way to get an idea of how good this footage is and with prices starting at over £8,000 that’s out of most people’s budget.

Then your broadband had better be up to speed otherwise you’ll face a screen full of buffering.
