NBA League Pass To Offer Single-Game, Team Packages
Story Highlights
As the Golden State Warriors prepared to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in what proved to be the final game of the season, the NBA was already looking ahead to the 2015-16 campaign. The league will expand its playbook to allow fans to purchase single-game and individual-team packages via NBA League Pass, its out-of-market live-broadcast service.
The single-game offering will allow fans to select specific NBA League Pass live telecasts on a given day during the regular season. Available for all 30 clubs, the individual-team package will enable fans to follow one club throughout the campaign.
These additional options will flank the traditional full-season NBA League Pass, which affords access to nearly 1,000 live out-of-market games and archival pro-hoops content.
At this stage, the single-game and team offerings will be made available during the 2015-16 season by NBA Digital to broadband and mobile subscribers on iOS and Android devices. The league says details on where else these new offerings may be purchased and pricing info will be announced in mid July.
With an assist from the In Demand network, NBA League Pass has been available through cable and telco distributors and includes NBA League Pass Broadband. Satellite providers also offer the package.
