Fluendo Takes Wraps Off LongoMatch PRO Version 1.1

Fluendo has released LongoMatch PRO version 1.1, upgrading the cross-platform software tool that performs real-time analysis on sports video feeds. LongoMatch supports the needs of amateur and professional coaches, referees, athletes, athletic teams, sports media professionals, and scouting agents; from professional clubs to universities and international federations.fluendo-logoLongoMatch lets users tag plays, review portions of a live game in slow motion and create post-match analysis, all adaptable to a variety of video formats and multiple sports. With LongoMatch PRO 1.1, users can now use up to eight videos and multiple angles on the same project to improve technique, tactics and sports strategy. A new zoom function captures more defined details from the recorded video, without compromising the precision of the software’s drawing or tagging tools.

The LongoMatch PRO 1.1 version is easier to use, with a new tagging feature that links and automates the tagging buttons. Unlimited custom events and tag descriptions can now be created. Positioning, resizing and color-coding the tagging buttons, retrieving statistical data for substitutions, scoring and penalties has all been improved and simplified in LongoMatch 1.1.

Other new features include an XML import function allowing users to import data from external sources into a LongoMatch project. A new export function has also been added allowing users to create an Excel spreadsheet document with all project data.
In addition to the suite of new features now offered, LongoMatch PRO continues to include an easy to use, all-in-one LongoMatch PRO software installer, including all multimedia licenses needed to support any format compliant with patent rights. Enhanced Statistics allow for team events matrix, timers stats, per-period filtering. Collaborative analysis allows users to merge analyses from several coaches. LongoMatch PRO offers easy OS recognition support for Mac, Linux and Windows, and other platforms. Fluendo’s ONEPLAY high-quality video components enable Full HD support even when used live (enables hardware encoders and decoders). Fluendo also continues to offer professional training and support

“As video experts working closely with sports professionals, we have invested and developed LongoMatch to meet market demand,” says Muriel Moscardini, Fluendo’s CEO. “Our mission is to help teams achieve their greatest potential with improved tools and professional support. With this new version, we’ve achieved a new level of simplicity, providing an easy-to-use tool that helps coaches and teams focus on what is important – improvement. LongoMatch is already used by thousands of coaches daily around the world. We hope that this new version and its affordable price will help even more teams in the future.”

LongoMatch is used today worldwide by amateur and professional sports teams, including the Belgium national World Cup soccer team, the Spanish Padel Federation, the Royal Spanish Handball Federation, STB Le Havre Basketball team French Division A, and the Harvard University women’s soccer team, among others. With LongoMatch, professional or amateur coaches and athletes can record and edit videos with tags and diagrams to produce detailed performance breakdowns and game statistics. Customizable to any sport and uniquely compatible with all software platforms, LongoMatch allows users to review tagged events in-game and export the video clips while still analyzing games live.

“LongoMatch is a great tool to increase the communication between my athletes,” says Michele Santoni, soccer video analyst (Ajax Amsterdam, Livorno Italy, Cesena Italy). “I send video files exported from LongoMatch to the players and every week, they choose which events they want to discuss with their teammates.”

“I use LongoMatch often,” says Jakub Zamojski, Referee Euroleague and FIBA.  “To prepare myself and the crew for a game, we watch clips I made with the software or, after the game, we watch our performance. It’s easy to use and works on both Windows and Mac. It’s so easy that all the campers at my referee camp can work with it for training and education.”

LongoMatch was nominated as one of the 10 best sports analysis systems in the world in the 2013 Performance Video Analysis Software Guide. The sports analysis software is the recent recipient of NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award, presented at the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show by TV Technology.
