SVG On Demand: Facebook’s Rob Shaw on the “Ultimate Second Screen”

With an astonishing 1.49 billion monthly active users, Facebook is far and away the most popular social media platform out there today. And that usage number is only growing (its up 14% from the previous year). So its no surprise that Facebook has become more crucial to a content creator’s distribution strategy.

This year, Facebook’s status in the video world has grown even more influential as a study by the social-media analytics company Socialbakers identified that native Facebook video uploads gain more organic reach on average that any other type of of post on the site. Do the math and that means if you have video you want to get in front of fans, get it on Facebook. That’s led to noted shifts away from text and even photo-based posts by sports content creators looking to better engage their fans.
