NUAIR Alliance, AUVSI To Host UAS Industry Days ‘Collaboration for Innovation’

The NUAIR Alliance and Empire State Chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) will host the second-annual UAS Industry Days “Collaboration for Innovation” on September 22 and 23 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, NY.

The event includes a Golf Tournament on Shenandoah Course and Networking and Demos at the NUAIR Test Range on Tuesday, Sept. 22, followed by the UAS Industry Day Conference on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Golf Tournament on Shenandoah Course
Network with key industry members while playing the competitive Shenandoah Golf Course, one of Turning Stone’s PGA-level courses. Designed, constructed, and maintained to tour standards at more than 7,000 yards, the course offers conditions normally reserved for tour professionals. Make key industry contacts while tackling one of the toughest courses around Central New York. Breakfast and Lunch included. During lunch guests will hear from Congressman Frank LoBiondo, Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee. Congressman LoBiondo will discuss the effort he is leading in congress to mandate the test sites. As chairman of the House Aviation subcommittee, he will preside over the development and drafting of the FAA Reauthorization Act that includes language on UAS.

Networking and Demos at the NUAIR Test Range
Enjoy a tour, cocktails and networking at Griffiss International Airport, one of six Federal Aviation Administration-designated UAS test sites in the country. The NUAIR Alliance is actively working with partners from around the world conducting top level research aimed at safely integrating unmanned systems into the national airspace. UAS Industry Day Conference
The second day of the NUAIR Unmanned Aircraft Systems Industry Days will bring leading experts and engaging speakers in this burgeoning industry together for a series of discussions. From elected officials, to policy makers, to end users of the technology, they will all convene at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino to share with us the latest news and trends. The event’s keynote address will be given by Lisa Ellman a leading public policy lawyer for the Washington D.C. firm of Hogan Lovell, where Ellman co-chairs the firm’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Group. Additionally, she worked on high-priority policy initiatives for the Obama Administration including domestic use of UAS. Along with our keynote and distinguished speaker panels, which will cover timely and relevant UAS topics, more than 50 companies who will be exhibiting their diverse technologies.
