Daktronics Constructs 10-Display Centerhung for Wisconsin’s Resch Center

Daktronics recently installed a 10-display centerhung configuration inside the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI, as the visual centerpiece for hockey, basketball, indoor football, and other entertainment events held at the facility. Additional end zone displays and digital scorer’s tables were included in the installation.

“Our fan experience just got dramatically better,” said PMI Entertainment Group President Ken Wachter. “The resolution on the new video board is second to none and we’ve heard nothing but great things from our customers. It’s everything we hoped it would be.”

unnamed2The centerhung features four primary displays that each measure approximately 8 feet high by 15.5 feet wide and consist of a tight 6 millimeter line spacing. The six other displays in the centerhung feature 10 millimeter line spacing. The four corner displays each measure roughly 8 feet high by 3 feet wide, the top ring display measures 2 feet high by 81 feet in circumference and the bottom ring display measures 3 feet high by 55 feet in circumference.

The main displays feature variable content zoning which allows them to show one large image or they can be divided into different windows to show a variety of content including live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animation, and sponsorship messages.

When the Resch center is hosting football games, it will use two end zone displays, one at each end of the field. Each end zone display measures approximately 8 feet high by 34 feet wide and features 10 millimeter line spacing.

When hosting basketball games, four digital scorer’s tables will be used at courtside. Each scorer’s table features 10 millimeter line spacing and measures approximately 2 feet high by 9 feet wide and can be combined or arranged in any configuration to fit the needs of each event.

The corner, ring, end zone, and scorer’s table displays will all be able to show additional content to supplement the main video displays. They can highlight sponsors as well as provide additional statistics and game information throughout events.

“We’re excited to be continuing our long partnership with the Resch Center and to be providing them with this new video system,” said Daktronics Sales Representative Joey Hulsebus. “The people at this facility are great to work with and we’re excited to be providing them with an upgraded visual centerpiece for their fans.”

The installation also included Daktronics powerful Show Control System. This industry-leading system provides a combination of display control software, world-class video processing, data integration and playback hardware that forms a user-friendly production solution.

In addition to the equipment installation, Resch Center is also receiving the creation of digital content to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will consist of any mixture of content at the request of the venue.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
