CCW 2015 Preview: A Peek At What’s To Hit The Exhibit Floor (Part 1)

Content & Communications World (CCW) 2015 kicks off next week at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City and with the power of NAB now behind the show, it promises to be one of the largest media, entertainment, video and communications technology conference on the East Coast this year.

ccwOver 300 exhibiting companies are expected to show their wares, offering content creators a chance to catch up on some of the year’s biggest product announcement and debuts from NAB and IBC earlier this year. In addition, some companies will make some key product announcements and debuts.

Among those on hand are many of SVG’s sponsors companies. Here’s a quick look at what some of those tech vendors are planning for the big show.

FUJIFILM To Demo 4K Ultra HD Series, Cabrio Zoom Lens
FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division will showcase its new 4K Ultra HD Series and its 25-300mm Cabrio zoom lens with detachable drive unit at CCW. The 4K Premier PL 25-300mm Cabrio [ZK12x25] zoom lens features an optional, detachable servo unit for remote control of the zoom, focus and iris adjustment. The PL 25-300mm lens is the latest in the company’s popular Cabrio series, which includes the Premier PL 19-90mm, the PL 85-300mm, and the recently introduced PL 14-35mm lenses.

Artel Video Systems Highlights Interoperability of Product Lines
Artel Video Systems, a provider of innovative IP and fiber-based media transport solutions supporting global telecommunications, broadcast, and related markets, will showcase several solutions at CCW, including the integration and interoperability between its DigiLink, Fiberlink, and Scan Do product lines, which enables customers to design and deploy a complete contribution media transport system.

ChyronHego To Showcase BlueNet Graphics Workflow
ChyronHego will highlight its BlueNet end-to-end graphics workflow, including the next-generation CAMIO 4.2 graphics asset workflow solution, a redesign of the modular Producer’s graphics creation interface LUCI, and Lyric 64, the all-new graphics technology and playout platform. In addition, ChyronHego will showcase its Channel Box PRIME system that is touted as the industry’s fastest and easiest solution for delivering bold branding elements such as up-to-the-minute headlines, sports scores, social media commentary, and automated promos.

Clear-Com Highlights Wireless Communication, IP Connectivity
Clear-Com will demo the company’s newest wireless intercom systems and IP-based intercom connectivity solutions. The Clear-Com DX410 is a two-channel 2.4GHz digital wireless intercom system that features 7kHz wideband audio, with a light-weight miniaturized beltpack and All-in-One wireless headset. Also on display will be the new FreeSpeak II 2.4GHz distributed wireless solution. FreeSpeak II can operate as a standalone system, with up to 20 full-duplex wireless beltpacks connected to one base station, providing point-to-point and group communications.

New Cobalt Digital Cards Designed for Maximum Performance in Minimal Space
From its full range of cards for the openGear platform to its Blue Box Group line of stand-alone interface converter boxes, Cobalt Digital is known for scalable, cost-effective real-world solutions for demanding production and broadcast environments. At CCW, Cobalt Digital will showcase an assortment of these solutions and introduce two more: an RGB color-space corrector and a dual-channel frame sync card.

Riedel Shows Off Newest Products, Including MediorNet MicroN
MediorNet MicroN, an 80 G media distribution network device for Riedel’s MediorNet line of media transport and management solutions, will be on display at CCW. Working seamlessly with the MediorNet MetroN core fiber router, MicroN is a high-density signal interface with a complete array of audio, video, and data inputs and outputs, including 24 SD/HD/3G-SDI I/Os, two MADI optical digital audio ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two sync reference I/Os, and eight 10 Gb MediorNet high-speed links.

SGL Plans Include FlashNet Content Management, Open System Architecture
SGL’s FlashNet content management solution is designed to integrate seamlessly with MAM or automation control systems to provide significant improvements to workflow efficiency without intruding on the users’ familiar desktop. SGL’s Open System Architecture provides broadcasters, post production facilities, and news/sport organizations with reliable, scalable solutions with substantial cost and workflow benefits.

Tedial To Demo New Features for Tedial Evolution
Tedial will be demonstrating its Tedial Evolution at CCW. Tedial executives will be available to explain how the next-generation media IT suite maximizes efficiency and profitability for broadcasters and media companies, discuss the advantages of integrating workflow tools and Hierarchical Storage Management into new and legacy systems, and talk about the numerous organizations that have adapted Tedial’s solutions into their facilities.

LiveU Preps U.S. Debut of LiveU Solo
LiveU will exhibit its new plug-and-play live streaming bonded solution, LiveU Solo, for the first time in the United States. With Solo, LiveU expands its broadcasting expertise to the online media market.  Solo allows you to live-stream seamlessly into any web streaming workflow by connecting automatically to popular content delivery networks such as YouTube Live and Wowza Streaming Cloud.

TSL Products Unveils New Audio Monitoring Solutions, Virtual Panel for TallyMan Control Systems
Broadcast equipment manufacturer TSL Products will showcase its newly redesigned MPA (Monitor Plus Audio) family. Rebuilt from the ground up to offer greater ease of use and excellent sound quality, the new audio monitoring range offers solutions for established I/O  – such as MADI, SDI, AES-3 and analogue – while also embracing the industry’s move to Audio over IP workflows with support for Dante and Ravenna.
