Shure Announces QLX-D 900 MHz & New App Updates

This past week at the 2015 AES Conference, Shure unveiled two new app updates and announced that its QLX-D Digital Wireless Systems will be available in the 900 MHz ISM frequency band.

ShureShure’s QLX-D Digital Wireless Systems will be available in the 900 MHz ISM frequency band. Adding to its line of wireless products capable of operating in the 900 MHz band, QLX-D 900 MHz is targeted for use where UHF “TV band” spectrum is limited or congested. QLX-D 900 MHz features components and accessories optimized for use in regional variations of the 902-928 MHz spectrum.

Shure also revealed that the ShurePlus Channels Mobile App has been updated to include UHF-R compatibility. The updated app provides audio professionals real-time, precision monitoring of select Shure wireless system parameters from any iOS device. ShurePlus Channels is compatible with the Axient Wireless Management Network, ULX-D Digital Wireless, QLX-D Digital Wireless System, PSM1000 Personal Monitor System, and new to version 1.2, the UHF-R Wireless System.

Wrapping up Shure’s AES news, Shure announced a new version of its ShurePlus MOTIV Mobile Recording App—designed for use with the Company’s MOTIV Digital Condenser Microphones. Version 1.1 of the iOS app offers a host of new features, including five-band EQ and gain adjustment controls for the MV51 Digital Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, the MV5 Digital Condenser Microphone, and MVi Digital Audio Interface. Shure has added AirPlay compatibility.

Additionally, Shure showcased its newly launched KSE1500 Electrostatic Earphone System and  SHA900 Portable Listening Amplifier. The KSE1500 is the world’s first Sound Isolating electrostatic earphone and amplifier system for use with portable and traditional media players. The SHA900 Portable Listening Amplifier is a standalone amplifier designed for use with premium-quality headphones and earphones.
