Digital Comm Link Provides Satellite, IP Transport Services to Sports Industry

Digital Comm Link owns and operates two HD/SD Ku dual-path satellite trucks, each capable of 1080p, 1080i, and 720p with 16 channels of audio. The company’s patent-pending technology is currently being used by studio/playout facilities, broadcast-distribution networks, corporations, television-broadcast networks, teleports, broadcast-switching networks, universities, and newsgathering organizations.

The company recently transported over its Managed IP Transport Platform using the public Internet a broadcast-quality ASI live stream of an NASL soccer match between United FC and Strikers from Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale to a broadcast-switching network in Quebec, which then sent it over its fiber network to the television station in Brazil. Digital Comm Link transports various sports events on a daily basis all via public Internet from the WAC conference venues to the WAC Digital Network.
