CCW 2015: Grass Valley To Demo Live Production Solutions

Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, will showcase its live production solutions in booth #1113 at CCW. In addition to product displays, the booth will feature information on the transition to IP, the increasing popularity of 4K/UHD content for better storytelling, and other trends in live production.

“Events such as CCW provide us with important opportunities to talk with our customers and share information about the market, new technology, and business changes,” says Mike Cronk, senior vice president of strategic marketing, Grass Valley. “There are so many exciting developments right now for broadcasters and content producers—from the way video is captured and edited to the way it is managed and moved across the networks. Our experts will be on hand to help visitors understand how the latest trends impact their businesses.”

Among the products featured at the show will be the Karrera K-Frame S-series switchers, which combine ultimate mid-range switcher performance with multiformat support, including 1080p and 4K. Offered as two system packages, three M/Es or two M/Es, this new compact frame includes an internal power supply, new controller module with ImageStore and multiviewer capabilities and IP I/O for SMPTE 2022-6 connectivity.

Also on display will be the Focus 70 Live camera, which offers a feature set optimized for many of the typical live studio and field applications at an affordable entry price. The Focus 70 Live camera is ideal for smaller live studio and field applications, including regional broadcast stations, SNG vans, small OB vans, university sports productions, staging and houses of worship.

The GV Director nonlinear live production center, also on display, is a multipurpose tool for live production that integrates video switching, multilayer effects, animated graphics, multiviewer monitoring and more. GV Director removes the typical complexity of production and simplifies pre-production and production processes using one intuitive and dynamic platform.
