Wichita State University To Add New Video Board at Eck Stadium

Wichita State University has partnered with Daktronics to provide a new LED video display that will be one of the largest in college baseball at nearly 1,300 square feet. Installation will begin early in 2016 at Eck Stadium, home of Tyler Field in Wichita, Kansas.

“We are excited to announce for our Shocker fans and players a new addition to the program: a new jumbo Daktronics scoreboard for opening day 2016,” Wichita State head coach Todd Butler said. “The addition of this state-of-the-art scoreboard will enhance our atmosphere at Eck Stadium with music, video, advertisement and modern scoreboard updates. This will be one of the top five scoreboards in all of college baseball.”

The display will measure approximately 20.5 feet high by 63.5 feet wide and will feature a 15HD pixel layout to provide crisp, clear imagery with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat at Eck Stadium. It features variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or it can be divided into multiple windows to show a variety of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics and game information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

Springfield Cardinals Adding Daktronics 13HD Video Display
Daktronics has partnered with the Springfield Cardinals and The Hammons Group to provide a new 13HD LED video display at Hammons Field in Springfield, Missouri. Installation of the fifth largest display in the minor leagues is slated for January so the display can be making an impact at Cardinals games in 2016. It will the first 13HD display at the Cardinals level of competition and one of only four such displays in the minor leagues.

We can’t wait for everyone to experience the new display on April 14 at Opening Night.”

The Cardinals display will measure approximately 34 feet high by 66 feet wide for a total of more than 2,200 square feet of display space. It will feature a 13HD pixel layout to provide crisp, clear imagery and wide angle visibility for a great view from any seat in the stadium.

The display incorporates variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple windows to show any mixture of live video, instant replay, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.
