“Scott’s outstanding track record and broad industry knowledge will be a great addition to F&F and its engineering department. This position is critical for the continued growth of F&F and we look forward to working with him as we guide the company forward” says George Orgera, President/CEO.

West will oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department while McKechney’s primary focus will be on the technological design and innovative growth of F&F’s signature GTX fleet of HD mobile units and client projects.

“With the acquisition of Cross Creek’s HD assets and personnel this past June, the day to day operations of the engineering department has grown substantially” says McKechney. “Adding Scott to our team will allow me time to focus on the company’s current and future technology endeavors and the dedication needed to work hand in hand with our clients prior to and on site as we usher in new technology ideas and the challenges presented as we incorporate these additions into their broadcasts.”

Adds West: “I have been fortunate to work in many facets of the broadcasting industry, including my last year in labor management with Program Productions. They are an outstanding company and strongly positioned for future growth, but my passion really lies in the technology side of the business where I have spent the majority of the last 20 years.”

West adds that over the years his top skills have been improving operations and service, managing client relationships, and bringing new energy to projects while realizing immediate and long term growth.

“I look forward to bringing these experiences to the F&F team and working with Bill and the incredible engineers that have been assembled through the years as well as developing new talent with both seasoned professionals and the next generation of engineers,” he says.

West comes to F&F from Program Productions, the broadcast industry’s largest labor provider where he served as Senior VP of National Accounts, since 2015. In 2012 Scott joined NEP as the Vice President of Engineering and Operations when NEP acquired Corplex. In this role, Scott provided senior level direction for television facility maintenance engineering, national field shops, equipment coordination, fiber-optic department, operations and travel departments, and first-tier technical support developing overall operating strategies.

Prior to NEP, Scott joined Corplex in 1998. He was named President/GM in 2005 and helped establish their national presence, developing relationships with major networks such as CBS Sports, Turner Sports, Fox Sports, and the USGA.

During his tenure, Corplex provided production facilities for numerous international telecasts including the host broadcast feed for the Alpine Ski events at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, B.C. and all technical facilities for the European feed of the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah, IL.

His career is highlighted by a 2010 Emmy as part of the technical team that supported CBS’s coverage of PGA Golf and West received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television Production and Broadcasting from Michigan State University. He will reside in Clearwater, FL with his wife Lynn and their two children.
