AV Design Services Provides Systems Integration, Design for Sports’ Heavy Hitters

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome AV Design Services (AVDS) as a mobile/integrator sponsor. Headquartered in Burlington City, NJ, the professional design and systems-integration company provides specialized video-display solutions to the broadcast and commercial A/V markets.

According to the company, AVDS is an industry leader in all phases of the project process, including system design and engineering, project management, programming, integration, and post-installation services.

AVDS comprises seasoned broadcast and A/V pros with more than 35 years of individual experience and more than 100 years of combined experience. The company’s engineering team has provided integration and design services for major media companies, such as CBS Sports, MLB Network, Speed Channel, Fox News, ABC News, The Weather Channel, NFL Network, ESPN, and TBS.

Recently, AV Design Services was chosen by MLB Network to engineer, provide, and install all the set visual elements for the network’s new Studio 21 in Secaucus, NJ. AVDS used Leyard LED products supplied by Digital Dynamic Displays (D3) and also supplied, installed, and configured ORAD HDVG+ video-graphics–rendering hardware.

AVDS also provided AV integration for ESPN’s Studio G, the network’s upgraded home for college sports. Located in the Digital Center 1 building on ESPN’s Bristol, CT, campus, the set includes a main desk, interview area, and standup location and is approximately 2,500 sq. ft.
