Whit Albohm Joins Fox Sports as VP, Daily Studio Production for FS1

Emmy Award winner Whit Albohm joins Fox Sports as Vice President, Daily Studio Production for FS1. The announcement was made by Charlie Dixon, Executive Vice President of Content for FS1 and FS2, to whom Albohm reports.  His position is based in Los Angeles, and the appointment was effective February 1.

Fox-SportsIn his new position, Albohm, a former ESPN executive, now oversees the day-to-day production of current FS1 studio shows including The Herd With Colin Cowherd, Garbage Time With Katie Nolan, and Fox Sports Live. Albohm will also work closely with Dixon on the development of new studio programming for the channel.

“Jamie Horowitz and I have worked closely with Whit for 10 years,” says Dixon. “He is an extremely talented production executive with a keen sense of what resonates with today’s sports audience, and we look forward to reuniting with him and introducing new studio programming to FS1 in coming months.”

Albohm joins Fox Sports from ESPN, where he established himself as a creative coordinating producer who led the overall mission, philosophy, and finances of a robust studio lineup.  There, he oversaw several ESPN2 studio shows including First Take, SportsNation, His & Hers, and Mike & Mike.

Albohm began his career in sports television at NBC Sports. He won a sports Emmy working on NBC’s NASCAR coverage and was a key contributor on their Olympics, Notre Dame Football, NHL, and Poker productions. Albohm graduated in 2003 from Bates College with a B.A in history.
