ISE: AJA Introduces Mini-Connect

AJA Video Systems has introduced Mini-Connect, a small device with four USB connections and a built-in web server. It provides network control of up to four different AJA ROI scan converters simultaneously from anywhere, using any standard web browser.

Mini-Connect extends AJA’s efficient Mini-Config software UI across the network for access anywhere, allowing speedy and complete configuration of up to four ROI scan converters per Mini-Connect device. Once connected, users can easily configure ROI’s features and update firmware remotely, across a LAN or across the web, using a standard web-browser. AJA’s line of ROI scan converters allows a high quality conversion of computer-based content to professional SDI video at an affordable price and a portable size. With region of interest image scaling, flexible audio features, and an extensive aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, ROI fulfills the growing need to incorporate computer signals into high quality video production without sacrificing budget or space.

Mini-Connect Features

Mini-Connect supports the following AJA Mini-Converters: ROI, ROI-DVI, ROI-HDMI, and ROI-DP. Future updates will include support for additional AJA Mini-Converters.

The network interface consists of 10/100/1000 Ethernet (RJ-45), an embedded web-server for remote control, and configuration and transport control via a web-browser interface. USB configuration relates to a device control of up to 4 ROI Mini-Converters via web-browser based UI.

AJA’s device is 4.6″ (109mm) in width, 2.4″ (78mm) in depth and 1″ (25mm) in height. It has a 100-240V, 50/60Hz Universal Input, a +5 to 20V DC regulated, 8 watts maximum, and uses the AJA Power Supply model DWP-U-R1, which is included with purchase.
