BroadcastAsia 2016: EVS Looks to Future of Live Broadcasting

At BroadcastAsia 2016 booth #5K3-04, EVS will showcase new solutions that help broadcasters and producers meet changing consumer demands, enhance viewers’ experience, generate new business opportunities, and make the transition to IP.

The new ChannelMAX mode of the XT3 server combines legendary EVS speed and reliability with new ability to expand channel capacity through Multicam engine software updates. Now the XT3 can grow alongside customer needs while providing the most native codec support and SuperMotion camera support.

The latest tools for enhanced live storytelling will be shown in the LSM Cockpit area. The new Multireview for smart replay and highlight creation based on 40-camera recording control/review, advanced Epsio FX and Epsio Paint for instant virtual effects creation and data display, and new Dual LSM mode with greater power.

Attendees will also see Xeebra, EVS’ new referee live replay system, which debuted at Super Bowl 50 and scored awards at NAB 2016. Designed for use by officials or experienced operators, the new multicamera review system is fast, flexible and easy to use, enabling multiple screen views of continually synchronized content from up to 16 HD cameras. Best of all, Xeebra’s distributed server architecture and simple GigE link allows officials to sit wherever they want within the stadium while server equipment stays tucked out of sight.

Speed makes all the difference in live and breaking news. EVS’ practical innovations –real-time, multi-source ingest, editing and playback, and the ability to deliver quality content instantaneously to multiple screens – provide ultra-fast, modular and highly reliable workflows for the continuously evolving news environment.

Designed for today’s live event production, DYVI IT-based switching system is highly scalable with GPU-based processing, IP interconnection over connected campuses, modular resource and control provisioning, and more I/O in a single processing module. Fast, modular and incredibly flexible, DYVI brings freedom and creativity to live production.

EVS will also present IP4Live, its strategic approach to IP migration that brings the benefits of IP-based workflows to live production while preserving customers’ existing investments. Interoperable, IP-based solutions include the XiP media gateway, which expands IP capabilities of XT3 and XS3 media production servers. As a member of the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), EVS works to support the adoption, standardization and development of open protocols for media.

EVS invites show attendees to participate in brief presentations and Q&A sessions covering live production innovations designed for today’s fast-paced news and entertainment at the Qvest Media booth #5L4-01, May 31-June 2.
