SVG On Demand: University of Colorado’s Eric Pelloni on Live Streaming the Pac-12 Women’s Golf Tournament

The University of Colorado’s Buffvision produces in-venue video board shows and live streams hundreds of CU athletics events each year. At the 2015 Pac-12 Women’s Golf Tournament held at Boulder Country Club, Buffvision became the first ever Pac-12 school to live stream a golf event, streaming four holes from the tournament and winning a Telly Award for its efforts.

Buffvision Assistant Director Eric Pelloni took a few minutes at the SVG College Sports Summit earlier this month to discusses the challenges of live streaming the Pac-12 Women’s Golf Tournament from a remote location with no build-in connectivity, as well as the Buffvision’s in-house production workflows (shared storage is a must!) and how the program has come of age in recent years – both in terms of technology and storytelling.
