Bitcentral Unveils CORE:Sports Video Workflow Production Platform

Bitcentral has announced CORE:sports, an end- to-end video workflow production platform inspired by its sister product, CORE:news, the company’s news production platform. Combining content capture/discovery, editing, collaboration, playout, publishing, and asset management/archive into one complete system, CORE:sports provides complete media control for sports content producers and broadcasters.

CORE:sports is fully integrated into both iNews and ENPS and features an Active Panel allowing for discovery of raw, works-in-progress and finished assets, local and group-wide assets, simple and advanced unified searching, heads and tails clipping from archived assets and full playout management and script attaching to rundowns. Further, drag and drop functionality provides immediate video and script control, transport and story creation and the entire platform features active directory and single sign-on integration for security.

As content producers accelerate their transition to digital, mobile and OTT, CORE:sports includes leading-edge like features like Remote Contribution, enabling sports journalists to send video from the field directly to air from mobile devices or laptops, as well as full compatibility with Bitcentral Continuum, a solution that automatically programs a 24/7 live or pre-recorded linear channel for broadcasters to distribute across mobile and OTT platforms, greatly expanding a station or network’s audience and advertising reach.
