Premier League, IMG Continue Premier League Productions Partnership

The Premier League has come to a new agreement with IMG that will see the two organizations continue to work together to operate Premier League Productions (PLP) for the next three seasons (2016/17 – 2018/19).

logoPLP produces and distributes all of the Premier League’s international programming. This includes the broadcasting of all 380 Premier League matches, seven magazine shows each week, and the 24/7 Premier League Content Service, run by some of the League’s broadcast partners as a full channel.

The Content Service offers international broadcast partners a combination of studio based output, including high quality pre- and post-match content, regular news shows, additional magazine programming, international phone-ins, and matches from the Premier League’s extensive archive.

“Over the past twelve years we have worked very well with IMG Media to evolve and develop our international production offering,” says Paul Molnar, Director of Broadcasting at the Premier League. “That service, under the umbrella of Premier League Productions, has been an asset to all of our broadcast partners and we are pleased to be extending this relationship for another three years.”

The new agreement will see a number of new programs broadcast via the Premier League Content Service, including Goal Rush and a Fantasy program which will provide in-depth analysis of the League’s Fantasy Premier League game that is enjoyed by millions of fans via www.premierleague.com. There will also be an extension to the clips channel, which provides pre-match and in-game clips of all major incidents.

“We are delighted to extending our relationship with the Premier League as we continue to improve and enhance the offering to international licensees,” says Graham Fry, Global Managing Director for IMG Production. “We share a vision to provide the very best in content and production standards to showcase the world’s most viewed and popular football league.”
