NEP The Netherlands Meets ISO27001 Standard

As of July 22, NEP The Netherlands officially meets the international standard for information security (ISO27001). This certificate proves that all confidential information handled by NEP The Netherlands is highly protected, and the company has controls in place to reduce the risk of illegal or unauthorized access to the data. The certification applies to the Digital Media Services (including ingest, quality control and digital distribution to content platforms), the Playout and LiveCenter environments, and all managed hosting services of NEP The Netherlands.

NEP_NEW LOGOISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized best practice framework for an information security management system (ISMS). Information security plays an increasingly important role in the business and media industry. Developments such as cloud services force companies to continue improving their policies and processes. Because NEP The Netherlands handles highly critical business information and video content, all processes regarding information security must be in order. An independent auditor evaluated NEP as very positive and without a single deviation. NEP therefore meets the international standard for securing systems that contain confidential information. This guarantees the protection of customer data in a standardized way.

Ralf van Vegten, CIO NEP The Netherlands, says: “Our services often rely on shared technical platforms and infrastructures that operate in the background. Due to this increasing complexity, demarcating the information systems is more and more complicated. This makes obtaining the certificate, without any deviation, extra special. With this certificate we show our clients, suppliers and stakeholders that information security is a top priority. I am extremely proud of our people and their commitment. This certificate is yet another confirmation of the high quality that we pursue at all times!”
