“Sports fans are passionate people, and, when you’re working in the industry of live streaming to those fans, the stakes are high, especially because the competition in the market is so fierce,” says Kyle Cowan, strategic account executive, Ustream. “Knowing those high stakes, we want to be the technology partner who is able to evolve with the business goals and audience bases of the SVG community to help sports-content creators and providers stay competitive. By working with the larger community, it is only a matter a time before we push the industry to new heights.”

IBM Cloud Video supports top media and enterprise companies with reliable video-on-demand and streaming services, including HBO, A&E Networks, BBC America, Scripps Networks Interactive, Mazda, NASA, Intuit, and Verizon.

In June, IBM Cloud Video streamed the Goodwood Festival of Speed to more than 70,000 international viewers. An annual four-day motorsports event, the festival features races with cars as diverse as $1 million hypercars, fire-breathing classic cars, NASCAR, and Formula 1 cars taking the track. Video content for the event was produced and syndicated by Engage Sports.
