Little League to Work with MLBAM to Provide Digital Highlights Infrastructure

Little League fans around the world again will be able to relive their favorite tournament moments on any device as Little League International has partnered with MLBAM to provide content during Little League International Tournament games throughout the month of August.

LLWS Highlights ReleaseThrough the collaboration, Little League will deliver highlight clips and other video content, powered by MLBAM, from all 137 Little League World Series Tournament games broadcast across the ESPN/ABC family of networks. The Little League-owned digital videos, including top plays, sportsmanship displays, and more, will then be featured on Little League’s online and mobile platforms, including social media and videos.littleleague.org.

Keener, Little League President and CEO. “As Little League continues to expand its digital offerings, our video highlights showcase all the reasons why Little League is the world’s largest and most respected youth sports organization, and provide our fans the opportunity to continue to enjoy their favorite moments from August. We are proud to work with our friends at MLBAM to enhance the digital experience surrounding the Little League World Series.”

This is the second year that Little League has engaged with MLBAM to provide its technical expertise to deliver highlights of the games televised on the ESPN family of networks. Highlights from the Little League Softball Southwest Region Tournament, the eight Little League Baseball U.S. Region Championships, and all nine Little League Baseball and Softball World Series Tournaments will be accessible on videos.littleleague.org. Coverage starts with the semifinals of the Little League Softball Southwest Region Tournament (airing live on the Longhorn Network), which began Monday, Aug. 1, and will run through the Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game (airing on ABC) on Sunday, Aug. 28.
