Her expanded role will include working closely with the Turner Sports leadership team to identify, explore, and evaluate new business opportunities surrounding the division’s multimedia rights agreements. Shah will provide strategic business counsel and serve as a trusted advisor across Turner Sports, along with Turner Studios and the Turner digital strategy and operations team – areas led by Daniels – while being a point of contact with league and business partners.

“Tina has demonstrated strong leadership within the Turner legal department and she has an exceptional ability to apply both a practical and strategic approach to business transactions,” says Louise Sams, Executive Vice President and General
Counsel for Turner. “She is collaborative with colleagues and our business partners, and she has assumed an increasingly significant role in the negotiations associated with some of Turner Sports’ most important relationships. These additional responsibilities are acknowledgement of her many contributions to our company.”

“Tina has been directly involved in all of our business agreements for nearly a decade and her institutional knowledge, strong instincts and business acumen will be invaluable resources in this expanded role,” says Lenny Daniels, President of Turner Sports.  “She is well regarded within our company and throughout the sports media industry. I’m confident she will continue to thrive with these added responsibilities.”

As part of her daily responsibilities, Shah will continue to oversee a diverse legal practice that includes the negotiation of rights agreements with league partners, business deals, talent agreements, sales and sponsorships, content production/clearances, the structure of business initiatives, and a wide range of technology and digital deals.

Shah will continue to report directly to Sams, while also reporting to Daniels on behalf of her expanded Turner Sports responsibilities. She is based in Atlanta.
