BT Sport App, Supported by deltatre, Delivers for Premier League Fans

The BT Sport app, supported by global sport media services company deltatre, is now providing fans the ultimate way of watching the 2016-17 Premier League. Exclusively to its subscribers, 42 games will be readily available to watch on iOS and Android, both live and on demand.

DeltatreAfter the successful deliveries of the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, the BT Sport app that features deltatre’s sport video player Diva, is set to deliver new levels of fan engagement. Overlays and timeline markers are powered by OPTA data feed, enabling fans to jump to any key moment of the action. With the choice of up to 25 different camera angles to view specific incidents, there’s no need to miss a goal, penalty or foul again.

For the fans who want that extra level of information, a menu is available with a variety of additional data including commentary, lineups, tactics, passes and team stats.

David Kelly, GM BT Sport product and innovation, says, “The enhanced BT Sport app has delivered a step change in the way that our customers are able to watch and enjoy the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League coverage on mobile devices. It’s great to now extend this enhanced viewing capability for viewers of our Premier League coverage on the app.”

Speaking about the collaboration, deltatre’s Chris Catling, Managing Director UK says, “It’s fantastic that BT Sport have extended their use of the Diva video player to its coverage of this season’s Premier League. Providing another Premier League broadcaster with the power of Diva is extremely exciting for us and gives BT the competitive edge.”
