RyderCup.com, Ryder Cup App Deliver All-Time Audience Records

RyderCup.com and the Ryder Cup App, managed by Turner Sports in partnership with The PGA of America and the European Tour, delivered record-setting metrics across all platforms for its live coverage of this year’s 2016 Ryder Cup from Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN.

Highlights include:

Most-Viewed Ryder Cup Ever
rydercup_500x500RyderCup.com and the Ryder Cup App generated 3.3 million live video views over the three-day event to garner its most-viewed Ryder Cup coverage on record and nearly a 250% increase over the comparable coverage in 2014.  Additionally, the 1.2 million live hours of consumption – up 293% over 2014 – are an all-time high for the event.

Friday Scores Best Single Day of All Time
Friday’s Ryder Cup coverage via RyderCup.com and the Ryder Cup App netted single-day records with 1.6 million live video views and 740,000 live hours consumed, up 175% and 272%, respectively, over the same window in 2014.

More Than Six Million Unique Visitors
This year’s Ryder Cup generated more than six million unique visitors via RyderCup.com, up 27% vs. 2014.

PGA.com’s Social Platforms Deliver Nearly 39 Million Impressions
PGA.com Facebook and Twitter accounts drove nearly 39 million social impressions and five million video views, both records for the Ryder Cup.

This year, RyderCup.com and the Ryder Cup app debuted new “Featured Match” live programming on Friday and Saturday, along with in-depth coverage of Sunday’s single match play. Additionally, a new 1st Tee Experience show showcased the atmosphere surrounding the first tee amphitheater all three days.
