Calrec, DiGiCo Come Together Under Group One Umbrella
Group One adds sales and support for Calrec’s broadcast-product lines, such as the newly launched Brio36 compact broadcast console and RP remote-production products, to the DiGiCo product line that it represents, including the SD10B console.
The appointment will not affect Calrec’s relationship with Studio Consultants Inc. (SCI), which has worked with Calrec for many years and will continue its Calrec sales and support efforts on the East Coast in conjunction with Calrec and Group One, which also distributes Blue Sky powered nearfield monitors, KLANG:technologies 3D in-ear–monitor mixing solutions, MC2 amplifiers, and XTA digital-signal–processing equipment.
Also as part of the new arrangements, the entire Calrec America team has been incorporated into Group One to provide uninterrupted continuity of sales, service, and support to the broadcast-console brand’s customers. Calrec employees will become employees of Group One, joining DiGiCo employees, including DiGiCo System Engineer/Product Design and Development Consultant Taidus Vallandi, according to Group One President Jack Kelly. Employees from both companies, he adds, will work across both brands.
