NAB Show NY: Telos Alliance Brings TV Solutions Group to Big Apple

The Telos Alliance’s TV Solutions Group (TVSG) will be exhibiting at NAB NY in New York. This is one of the first in a series of TVSG public showings for Linear Acoustic, Minnetonka Audio, and Telos Alliance AoIP products, including those from Axia and Telos, as components in an overall solution for broadcasters.

Linear Acoustic-The Telos Alliance-Color-LogoThe TV Solutions Group was formed to aid broadcasters in the transition to the latest TV industry technology by focusing on customer requirements and systems to meet those requirements. Utilizing both file-based and real-time processing, products from multiple Telos brands can be part of an overall facility-wide deployment.

At NAB NY, studio executives will have access to products and solutions that address all audio processing needs, including workstation plug-ins for content creation, enterprise, and cloud processing as well as real-time broadcast processors, AoIP Livewire+AES67 interfaces, and consoles.

The AES67 AoIP standard, for example, is a key strategic focus for the new group, and the Telos Alliance is already a proud member of AIMS (the Alliance for IP Media Solutions), a nonprofit trade alliance that promotes interoperability and the adoption of Video and Audio over IP standards.

Telos Alliance at the Western Association of Broadcast Engineers 2016 Annual Convention

Prior to NAB Show New York, The Telos Alliance will be participating in the Western Association of Broadcast Engineers 2016 Annual Convention in Calgary, Canada, at the Hyatt Regency, November 6-8, 2016. Telos Alliance will be represented by dealer partner Pippin Technical (booth 48 & 49), which will be showing a variety of gear from Telos, Axia, Omnia, and 25-Seven.

Additionally, Telos Alliance’s Jeff McGinley, Engineering Support, will present a two-hour educational session, “Axia Pathfinder CorePRO Overview,” on Monday, November 710-12am, in the Herald/Doll Room.

“With the introduction of the second-generation Axia Pathfinder CorePRO, we are giving Axia Livewire users a completely new routing control package that takes all the experience we learned from the past 10 years of the Pathfinder family of products, and puts it into a rack-mountable appliance,” says McGinley. “Pathfinder CorePRO is purpose-built for Livewire networks, and has a lot of powerful new features.”

Axia Pathfinder CorePRO is a Linux-based network-attached appliance for routing control with a web UI to provide route control and custom logic events. McGinley will cover the exclusive features of the unit, including automatic router table generation, graphical interface with real-time state reporting, logic gates for creation of complex logic, and control protocol for third-party integration. He will also touch upon advanced troubleshooting techniques for Livewire networks. 2016 WABE attendees are invited to come learn about this exciting new product and its potential applications in this informative session.

The Telos Alliance is the inventor of AoIP for broadcast, informing much of the early work on the AES67 standard. The technology in all Axia products is Livewire, an AoIP protocol that enables high-reliability, low-delay uncompressed digital audio over Ethernet, including audio, logic, control, and program associated data (PAD). Axia and the Telos Alliance are committed proponents of AoIP interoperability—first as charter, supporting members of the X192 Working Group that defined AES67, and now as founding members of the Media Networking Alliance, a group of prominent equipment manufacturers formed to actively promote the adoption and implementation of the AES67 standard.
