NAB Show NY: EVS Rolls Out ‘Connected Live’ Experience, XT4K Replay Server

At the 2016 NAB Show New York, EVS (Booth 1316) will showcase Connected Live – a live production ecosystem for bringing more speed, control and collaboration to broadcast centers, remote production, stadiums and studios that also provides broadcasters and content providers with better ways to record, edit and deliver more compelling stories.

EVS_LOGO_CMYKCombining existing live production servers with cloud and IP architecture, Connected Live is the next step in the IP evolution for exchanging and managing live content across multiple sites; expanding reach via instant cloud-based new media delivery; and enhancing live storytelling in HD and 4K UHD.

Attendees will also see the new XT4K production and replay server. XT4K utilizes uncompressed 12G SDI ingest and output ports and integrated IP I/O options to deliver new, flexible ways to design production facilities’ infrastructures. This UHD server allows users to grow with future updates, enabling adapatible and streamlined UHD/HD configurations through increased channel density options.

DYVI, the production switcher Hollywood director Francis Ford Coppola chose for use on his ambitious Live Cinema project, ‘Distant Vision,’ will be demonstrated. During the Distant Vision production, displayed sources could be dynamically rearranged at any time, and enabled faster and more direct switching for the technical director. Ideal for Broadcast Studios and Stadiums that have multiple productions and broadcast outputs, DYVI enables creativity and production efficiencies that go far beyond the traditional limits of the classic switcher design.

Also featured: XS4K, the IP media server for studio production with a flexible four-channel 4K and eight-channel HD configuration for seamless ingest and playout of multiformat content.
