PSSI Global Services Acquire Brightlink HD

PSSI Global Services recently acquired Brightlink HD/Music City Satellite, LLC. The sale was made official as of Sept. 15.

With the largest fleet of over 45 mobile satellite uplink trucks in North America, PSSI recently rolled out a plan to increase and upgrade its C-Band and multiplexing-capable trucks. PSSI helped pioneer the transmission protocols for at-home multi-channel productions and with the addition of Brightlink HD’s fleet, PSSI is even more capable of supporting these cutting-edge multi-channel transmission services.

Brightlink HD launched in 2005 to provide state-of-the-art transmission vehicles supporting live events to the broadcast networks. Among other assets, the acquisition includes a dual antenna 5.5 C-band / 2.4 Ku-band satellite uplink truck, one Ku-band satellite uplink truck with HD production capabilities, and a multi-purpose HD production vehicle.

Over the years, Brightlink HD has been able to encode signals for broadcast over fiber optic or via IP networks, and its trucks are equipped for HD video production as well as multichannel audio mixing. The company has worked with some renowned clients throughout the years, including Fox Sports, ESPN, CBS Sports, HBO Sports, TBS, TNT, Golf Channel, and more.
