T-21 Technologies Aims To Advance 4K/UHD HEVC in Sports Broadcasting

Headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, the company bridges broadcast and information technologies delivering 4K and Ultra HD HEVC, 1080p AVC, and 1080i MPEG-2 decoders, transcoders, and encoders. T-21 solutions are designed for the broadcast, security, ITS, and professional-audiovisual markets.

T-21 was founded by broadcast-industry veteran Kevin Ancelin and security/ITS veteran Mehdi Daryadel in September 2014. The company has delivered more than 800 T-21–branded and OEM products for key market partners globally.

Currently, the T9261-D decoder is used by major global broadcasters to monitor HEVC UHD and AVC HD contribution and distribution paths. T-21 solutions also provide edge transcoding of HEVC UHD to AVC for direct distribution to legacy monitoring and OTT platforms.
