Imagine Communications has expanded its Caribbean and Latin America team. Under the direction of recently appointed head of CALA sales, Leonardo Emilio Gañán, Imagine Communications’ Latin American operations are bolstered by the recent addition of several industry veterans with accomplished track-records of assisting media companies in the region in maximizing the potential of their businesses through the adoption of state-of-the-art technology. Recent enhancements to the CALA team include the addition of Fernando Monetti, Eugenio Solda and Cesar Carabajal, and the promotion of Marino Guzman, Louise Moggio, Sergio Yañez, Guillermo Velasco Cuevas and Jose Luis Casas.

”The media and entertainment industry continues to evolve at warp speed, and broadcasters and media companies in Latin America and the Caribbean are looking for innovation, thought leadership and world-class support that enable them to migrate to the networks of the future at their own pace,” says Pablo Gargiulo, Chief Sales Officer, Imagine Communications. ”We continue to make strategic hires and appointments, bringing individuals with expertise, know-how and commitment to the region to better serve our customers. We are assembling a winning team for CALA and with Emilio at the helm, we are optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing to provide media companies in the region with the solutions and support they need for their mission-critical operations.”

As an illustration of its ongoing commitment to channel partners, Imagine Communications has hired Fernando Monetti to the role of Channel Manager. Monetti is mandated with enhancing the company’s on-the-ground reach through a strategic channel partner network, and providing partners critical information, training and support. Prior to joining Imagine Communications, Monetti held management roles with Adtec, Thomson and Talhes. Monetti is based in Miami and will report directly to Gañán.

The company has also appointed four new regional sales leaders. Eugenio Solda is the Sales Director for Brazil. A senior-level executive with over 25 years of business management experience at national and multinational companies in the broadcast, PayTV, Telecom, and Energy sectors – including Cisco, GE and Tektronix – Solda is charged with managing the company’s operations in the region’s largest country. Additionally, Marino Guzman has been promoted to Sales Director for the Northern Cone region, comprised of Central America, Caribbean, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela. Prior to Imagine Communications, Guzman held senior sales and engineering positions at Harris Corporation, PBS, Digital Video Systems and the U.S. Department of State.

Sergio Yañez has been promoted to Sales Director for Mexico. Yañez has been with the company in sales leadership roles since 2008, and has extensive broadcast engineering experience with companies including Harris Corporation, Televisa and Telmex.  Finally, Cesar Carabajal has been hired as Sales Director for the company’s Southern Cone region, including Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Peru. Based out of the company’s Argentina office, Carabajal joins the company from Grass Valley, where he was sales manager.

Additional strategic enhancements to CALA operations include the promotion of Louise Moggio to Director of Ad Management Sales for CALA. Moggio has more than 20 years of experience in technology, advertising management and sales in the broadcast, telecommunications and enterprise spaces, previously holding positions with Nuance Communications, Intel and Dialogic.

To better provide customers successful and effective solution deployments in the region, Imagine Communications has appointed Guillermo Velasco Cuevas to Director of Professional Services. In this newly created role, Cuevas will oversee efforts to provide customers and channel partners network design, commission, proactive monitoring, project management and concierge client services. This services offering – MyImagine Services – is a turnkey solution that helps customers optimize their technology while reducing risk, an unparalleled offering in the marketplace. Cuevas has been with Imagine Communications since 2014, and previously held senior management positions with Avaya and Lucent Technologies.

Jose Luis Casas has also been promoted to Systems Architect team lead. Based in Argentina, Casas has more than two decades of experience in sales and product support within the broadcast and telecommunications industries with multiple companies, including Harris Corporation and TIBA.
