LiveU Brings Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions to Remote Guests in Real Time

Videographer Joel Rienstra, President and Video Producer at StreamByte TV, is offering brides and grooms the ability to live stream their big day and share it with friends and family who can’t attend with the help of LiveU technology.

“Wedding webcasts are most successful in situations where the couple is accommodating guests who can’t otherwise attend. For example, a family member that may be ill, friends who are unable to afford the trip for a destination wedding, or guests that cannot take the time off work to travel to a wedding out of state or event out of the country,” says Rienstra. “We’ve been producing wedding videos for three years and in the past year, we’ve seen a surge in requests for live streaming capabilities.”

Rienstra and his team meet with the couples to determine their streaming needs. Most events are streamed to StreamByte’s CDN which displays the stream on a custom web page, but the team has also done some broadcasts to YouTube, Facebook, and other streaming platforms.
