Learfield Reshuffles Collegiate Business With Promotions, Realignment

Learfield has announced several promotions in its collegiate core business. Recent promotions in Learfield’s multi-media rights business include Pat Fagan, from vice president to senior vice president in Learfield’s Atlanta office. Also in Atlanta is Gerry Dickey, newly appointed vice president and former general manager for the company’s Clemson property. Fagan and Dickey have been with Learfield since 2005 and 2008, respectively. 

Jeff Bolitho, who has also been with Learfield since 2008, also has been promoted to vice president. He was general manager for the company’s San Diego State property and will remain in San Diego.

Tim Utrup, general manager for Learfield’s Wolfpack Sports Properties at NC State the last three years, also has been promoted to vice president and will relocate to the company’s Dallas headquarters.

Gil Beverly, a 12-year senior executive with ESPN, joined Learfield in April as a vice president in Dallas.

Lastly, vice president Tom Wistrcill moves to a leadership position in the core business from the company’s University Partnership Group. They will oversee client and university partner relationships across the country.

Learfield also promoted several senior leaders to new operational roles within the core business, namely senior vice president Steve Gowan, who has been with Learfield since 1999. He will oversee the company’s sales operations efforts in digital and broadcast media, integrated marketing, training and talent.

Vice president Megan Eisenhard will head up Learfield’s new talent acquisition team, which will focus on recruitment for companywide positions.

Additionally, vice presidents Tom Stevens and Mike McCollum, who have been with Learfield since 2004 and 2006, both recently transitioned to the position of executive director-business development within Learfield’s University Partnership Group, where they report to Bob Agramonte, chief business development officer.
